Cedar Mountain, Grand Canyon from Desert View Watchtower
Cedar Mountain 7061'
Cedar Mountain, located in the Southeast corner of Grand Canyon National Park, is one of the few summits within the park that has the appearance of a true mountain. Rather than a rock formation, spire or butte off the rim that requires an initial descent into the canyon, Cedar Mountain is a large cinder cone from the San Francisco Volcanic Field sitting about 1 mile from the South Rim.
