Beyond the Turnpike lies another New Jersey - one of small towns and wilderness. Large swaths of New Jersey are farmland and dense forests, which could easily be the New England that people envision. These are areas that are part of my cycling route and some times I take for granted. You don't have to go far for natural beauty, it can be out the back door.
